PPP announces protest against govt. for allowing Musharraf s travel
Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Friday has called for protests against government for allowing former President Pervez Musharraf to travel abroad from the country.
According to PPP leaders, a protest will also be held in the Parliament in this regard. PPP s organizations have also been advised of the protests.A framework for the protests will be developed after the former military ruler s departure from the country.Referring to earlier comments by Federal Minister for Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Bilawal stated that PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari did not gave Musharraf the guard of honour but instead it was given by the Presidential staff.He added that PPP had in fact ended Musharraf s dictatorship and restored democracy. He stated that the present government had acquitted Musharraf from the cases against him and allowed him to leave the country however.
