IHC Reject Petition Seeking Nawaz Resignation

newssf46sf6sf6546fe Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday turned down a petition that sought Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif’s resignation over Panama Leaks scandal. The court termed the petition was not maintainable. The petitioner Qaisar Jadoon through Advocate Saifullah Sarohi had sought orders from the court for the prime minister to tender his resignation through referendum after ‘it was established that his family was involved in running off-shore companies.’ It may be mentioned that the Registrar Office of the IHC had raised objections over the petition saying the petitioner was not an affectee and the petition seeking referendum against Prime Minister was not maintainable.
