RAWALPINDI: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday held a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif and discussed with him the law and order situation in the province.
The meeting took place at the General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi at which the two figures discussed operation against banned outfits in Punjab.
On the occasion, the Protection of Pakistan Act also came under discussion. The act got expired on July 14 after the completion of two years.
The federal government has reportedly been considering several options including an ordinance for its re-promulgation.
