KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain on Tuesday announced to quit MQM, saying that the party leadership in London and Karachi were not on the same page.
Talking in a programme of a private TV channel, Amir Liaquat said, “I am not part of MQM from today and I am leaving the party.”
“I am also quitting Pakistani politics,” he added.
He also advised Altaf Hussain to quit MQM.
“If Altaf can’t control his emotions and tongue he should also leave the politics and write books”, Dr Aamir Liaquat said.
“Pakistan is everything for me, whatever I am today it is all because of Pakistan,” Dr Aamir Liaquat remarked.
He also extended an apology over anti-Pakistan slogans and attack on media houses.
