Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI President of Karachi region Ali Haider Zaidi has written an open letter to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif in which he has raised several critical questions about peace in Karachi and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) especially after its London-based chief Altaf Hussain’s recent controversial”anti-Pakistan” diatribe
The letter argues that since MQM was created by a General in the first place and later supported also by a General, the mess it is has created should also be cleaned by a General.
Addressing General Raheel Sharif the letter reads, “MQM was created by former President General Zia ul Haq and further aided/facilitated by former President General Pervez Musharraf. Therefore by default, the responsibility to clean up the mess created by your predecessor falls on your shoulders.”
The letter argues that Altaf Hussain is still MQM’s Rohani Rehnuma Farooq Sattar’s press conferences are a total eyewash to hoodwink the Pakistani public.
The letter maintains that besides MQM’s mandate, it cannot be allowed to kill and loot people. The letter compares the case of MQM with that of The Nazi Party in Germany in March 1933 and the subsequent genocide committed by the Nazis. The letter asks can the genocide by Nazis be justified because of their “mandate”?
