LONDON: Former Pakistan Twenty20 captain Shahid Khan Afridi has signed a contract with Hampshire to play the 50 over Royal London One-Day Cup this season.
Afridi is already representing Hampshire in the NatWest T20 Blast, where he has earned some victories for the club with his brilliant all-round performance.
According to the deal, Afridi will represent Hampshire in all the matches of Royal London One-Day Cup.
It is pertinent to mention her that Afridi has not played any longer format cricket since his last match in World Cup 2015 against Australia.
He also missed Pakistan One Day Cup 2016 after Twenty20 World Cup, as he was going to perform Umrah with family.
It will be interesting to see how Afridi carries his form and fitness in the tournament.
