Saudi Arabian prince’s last hours before execution

ar-161019192news65sf65f5f6svSaudi Arabia has executed one of its own young princes for murder for the first time since 1975. He spent his last hours with his family, saying goodbye to his loved ones.
Prince Turki bin Saud bin Turki bin Saud Al Kabeer, a Saudi national, was killed in Riyadh after pleading guilty of firing to death Adel bin Sulaiman bin Abdulkareem Al Mihaimeed, also a Saudi national, following a group quarrel, a statement by the Ministry of Interior said.
The prince’s family tried to reach an agreement with the victim’s father at multiple times throughout the day to accept the blood money and forgive him, however all attempts failed according to a report in the Saudi news site Al Marsad.
The execution took place after the Asr (afternoon) prayers at 4.13pm.
The statement said that the security forces were successful to apprehend the offender as investigation into the case resulted in accusing him of committing the crime and referring him to the General Court which ruled that the accusation proved to be correct and sentenced him to death in retribution.
